Breakfast
We offer a full course hot breakfast from 7:30 to 9 am. (Early departure plans should be discussed with innkeepers) Meal can consist of choices including fresh ground coffee, tea, juice, milk, eggs, homemade beans, French Toast, tea biscuits, toast, bacon, sausage, yogurt, jams …..
Please let us know of any specific dietary needs and/or allergies.
Public Areas:
No food is allowed in rooms but you are welcome to bring food into our dining area. Although the kitchen will not be open, a small microwave and coffee will be available in the dining area for your convenience.
The inn offers our landscaped side and back yard and a front porch to provide spots for reading and enjoying Nova Scotia’s all-too-brief good weather. We have a garage for storing your bicycles, kayaks, canoes, or other sports equipment during your stay. Basic mechanical maintenance tools are also available for modest repairs.
To Make You Comfortable:
Murphy’s Inn is a non-smoking – non vaping inn. Smoking is permitted on the surrounding grounds. In addition to being a smoke-vape free environment, Murphy’s Inn also is concerned about scents associated with cleaning products for both the inn and laundry. We are committed to cleaning with products determined to be free of allergy sensitive components. No ammonia based products are used.
Check-in and Check-out:
Check-in is 4 p.m. Check-out is 10:30 a.m. and we ask that you vacate rooms by then so we may prepare for the next guests. Special arrangements can be made for late arrivals and early morning departures.
Parking and Weather Considerations:
Free parking is provided directly in front of the inn. We suggest backing in to provide the safest exit onto the main road.
Children and Pets:
Murphy’s Inn is not suitable for children and best caters to guests 19 years of age and older. Sadly, pets cannot be accommodated at any time.
